Looking to 2018

Scanautomatic – the exhibition, conference and meeting place for tomorrow’s automation – will direct extra focus on areas dealing with digitisation, streamlining and customised production. Digitisation in industry will be given even greater prominence with regard to IoT (Internet of Things), IoP Internet of People) and the smart factory.

The Automation Summit Conference 2018 will include more concrete case studies featuring companies that have already begun or completed the industrial paradigm shift. The programme is primarily aimed at company management.

Our comprehensive and carefully composed programme of exhibition-floor seminars will feature more case-based seminars relating to various aspects of industrial transformation in automation.

Our visitors’ interest in skills development has grown by some 50% in the past few years. And this is reflected in our decision to include more skill-enhancing seminars and courses in parallel with the 2018 fair.

Our commitment to highlighting the matter of women in industry – female engineers and ways of getting women and girls more interested in technical education – is another area we will further develop for the 2018 event.

Scanautomatic will also continue to increase its international validity as a meeting place via programme items such as matchmaking with visitors from across Europe, and more key-note speakers from outside Sweden.
